Karim Messeghem

Karim Messeghem est professeur agrégé des Universités en entrepreneuriat et stratégie à l’Université de Montpellier. Il a contribué à fonder l’Institut Montpellier Management et le Labex Entreprendre. Doyen de la Faculté d’AES en 2008 et de 2014 à 2016, il a dirigé le Labex entreprendre de 2011 à janvier 2018. Il codirige la Chaire Jacques Cœur pour l’accompagnement entrepreneurial qui bénéficie du soutien de la Banque Populaire du Sud. Dans ce cadre, il mène des actions d’accompagnement et a eu l’occasion de publier des rapports comme le livre blanc sur les structures d’accompagnement à la création d’entreprise. Il a développé des partenariats notamment avec le Réseau Entreprendre, RETIS, Leader. Ses recherches sont menées au sein de MRM et du Labex Entreprendre. Il codirige deux programmes, l’un sur l’Université entrepreneuriale et l’autre sur l’accompagnement entrepreneurial (Entrepreneurial Support Lab). Ses travaux portent sur les écosystèmes entrepreneuriaux, l’opportunité entrepreneuriale et les stratégies des PME. Il a publié plusieurs ouvrages et une cinquantaine d’articles dans des revues internationales comme Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management et des revues francophones.
