The Master’s degree in Agri-food Industry and Sales Management (MCVA) is a program focused on management and sales within the agri-food sector. The program addresses the needs expressed by companies in the agri-food industry seeking to recruit their future sales and marketing managers. This Master’s program is offered in partnership with the Institut Agro Montpellier and the IFRIA Occitanie.

Who is this for?

The Master MCVA is ideal for people who wish to specialize in management, business and sales within the food industry. This program equips students with essential skills in management, category management, supply chain, law, marketing and merchandising.

Application requirements

The Master 1 & 2 Agri-food Industry and Sales Management (MCVA) is one of the master’s degrees in the field of Management and Strategy (mention Management). Students can join this program in the first or second year.

The Master 1 is open to students with a three-year degree (European Bachelor’s degree in management, economics, law, business or applied economic sciences or an equivalent qualification) who meet the following prerequisites: basic knowledge in business and/or the agri-food sector and/or a strong motivation for business and who have earned 180 ECTS credits.

The Master 2 is open to:

  • students who have completed the M1 Agri-food Industry and Sales Management (MCVA) from Montpellier Management (without an application or interview)
  • students who have completed a Master 1 degree or who have earned 240 ECTS credits from a Master 1 program in management, economics, law, business or AES
  • engineers in the agri-food sector wishing to pursue a career in management and business
  • working professionals or job seekers wishing to further their education may apply if they have basic business training and/or knowledge of the agri-food sector

For both the Master 1 and Master 2, final enrollment is contingent upon signing an apprenticeship contract with a company in the agri-food sector, validated by the IFRIA Occitanie. A day of interviews with IFRIA Occitanie’s professional partners is organized to assist candidates in finding an apprenticeship contract.

Duration and rythm

The master’s program lasts two years, from M1 to M2. Students can enter the master’s program in the first or second year.

Tuition fees

For students who do not receive scholarships, the registration fees are as follows:

  • Master’s degree: €254 for the 2025/2026 academic year (this fee includes diploma fees, tuition fees, and university library membership).

For students receiving scholarships who provide proof of conditional notification at the time of registration, no registration fees will be charged. The CROUS will pay the registration fees owed to the institution through the scholarships allocated to the student.

In addition, all students enrolled in initial training at a higher education institution must pay the Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC) before registering. This can be done online at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr

At Montpellier Management, more than 50 teacher-researchers and 600 external speakers transmit their knowledge to our students, combining academic knowledge and field experience.

Student assessment is based on a system of partials and continuous assessment, combining individual and group projects, thus guaranteeing the progressive acquisition of the skills necessary to obtain a state diploma.
