Master’s Years 1 & 2 Entrepreneurial Business Support (AE)
The Master’s degree in Entrepreneurial Business Support (AE) was created with the support of BPI France Création and networks that support business creation and development (CCI Hérault, PFCA 34, Ad’occ, Boutiques de Gestion, etc.). It is supported by the AE2i (Entrepreneurship Support, Incubation, Innovation) and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Lab chairs.
From the first year of the master’s program, students quickly gain professional experience through work-study programs. Strong partnerships with support structures and local professional organizations enable them to gain a better understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Courses are taught by teachers specializing in entrepreneurship and SME management at Montpellier Management, as well as by professionals with experience in business creation, financing and marketing (SME managers, business incubator managers, business developers, etc.).

This master’s degree is ideal for people who want to specialize in business creation, development and takeover.
This program allows students to acquire essential skills in managing support structures, developing business plans, entrepreneurial financing and marketing strategy.
Application requirements
The Master 1 & 2 Entrepreneurial Business Support (AE) is one of the master’s degrees in the field of Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Students can join this program in the first or second year.
The Master 1 is open to students who hold a three-year bachelor’s degree, BUT or equivalent in management, economics, law, commerce or AES validated by the completion of 180 ECTS credits. The M1 is also open to professionals with proven experience in the field (VAPP/VAE). Selection is based on the application file.
The Master 2 is open:
- to students who have completed the M1 Entrepreneurial Business Support (AE) from Montpellier Management (no application or interview required)
- to holders of a four-year European degree in the first year of a Master’s in management, economics, law, business, or AES validated by obtaining 240 ECTS credits
- to professionals with proven experience in the field (VAPP/VAE)
Selection is based on the application file and an interview.
Foreign students who are not members of the European Union and do not have a French degree must first submit an application to CAMPUS France. Applications will only be reviewed once this formality has been completed.

Duration and rythm
The master’s program lasts two years, from M1 to M2. Students can enter the master’s program in the first or second year.
Objectives
The objective is to train specialists in the creation, development and takeover of businesses. At the end of the program, students will be able to:

Tuition fees
For students who do not receive scholarships, the registration fees are as follows:
- Master’s degree: €254 for the 2025/2026 academic year (this fee includes diploma fees, tuition fees, and university library membership).
For students receiving scholarships who provide proof of conditional notification at the time of registration, no registration fees will be charged. The CROUS will pay the registration fees owed to the institution through the scholarships allocated to the student.
In addition, all students enrolled in initial training at a higher education institution must pay the Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC) before registering. This can be done online at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr.
