Candidates from the new BUT GEA GCFF: a special program allows you to validate the DCG after just one year. Apply for Prep-DCG 2, and we will prepare you for the four remaining course units in one year.

Montpellier Management offers a 1, 2, or 3 year preparation program for the DCG (Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion) national exams, the first step in the chartered accountancy program. It is open to work-study students starting in their second year. This program is characterized by:

  • The involvement of university professors and professionals who are heavily involved in national exam boards up to the Diplôme final de l’Expertise Comptable (DEC)
  • A partnership with the ordre des Experts-Comptables and the rectorat d’académie for the organization of the exam
  • Fundamental contributions in terms of concepts and methodology
  • Practical applications
  • Three training sites: Montpellier, Alès (Lycée Prevert), Perpignan (Lycée Arago) . Training at Alès or Perpignan is only available on a work-study basis: continuing education or apprenticeship.

The 13 UE of the national exam are spread over the three years of training, each comprising approximately 500 to 600 hours of training.

Who is this for?

The target audience for this program is:

  • students wishing to obtain the DCG diploma in order to work in accounting
  • students who are considering continuing their studies towards a DSCG (Higher Diploma in Accounting and Management) in order to access positions with greater responsibility

Application requirements

The first year is open to students with a high school diploma or equivalent.

The second and third years are open to students with any degree that exempts them from the DCG: DPECF, BTS CG, DUT/BUT GEA.

Final selection is based on the application file and, in some cases, an interview.

Foreign students who are not members of the European Union and do not have a French degree must first submit an application to CAMPUS France.

Duration and rythm

Objectives

The objectives of the program:

  • prepare for the DCG national exam (13 UE, bachelor’s degree level, 180 ECTS)
  • acquire fundamental knowledge in terms of concepts, methodology and practical applications: case studies
  • supplement or validate previous training and professional experience through customized continuing education: individualized UE, assistance with VAE (validation of acquired experience)

Tuition fees

Tuition fees for initial training: €1,600 per academic year (€600 for students receiving scholarships).

These are indicative prices.

In addition, there is a university library membership fee of €34. Apprenticeship training fees are paid by the employer.

For continuing education, the amount covered varies depending on the individual case.

A disability representative is there to welcome you, provide you with information and implement a certain number of arrangements to facilitate your studies and reduce the disability situations you may encounter.

At Montpellier Management, more than 50 teacher-researchers and 600 external speakers transmit their knowledge to our students, combining academic knowledge and field experience.

Student assessment is based on a system of partials and continuous assessment, combining individual and group projects, thus guaranteeing the progressive acquisition of the skills necessary to obtain a state diploma.
