Montpellier Management offers several specialized programs in Entrepreneurship and SMEs, accessible from the bachelor’s degree level, which enable students to acquire the skills necessary to start, take over, or develop a business.
These programs combine solid academic instruction with a practical approach to prepare students to thrive in a competitive and constantly evolving market.
Focus on the Entrepreneurship and SMEs field
The Entrepreneurship and SMEs field aims to train professionals with the skills needed to create, manage, and evaluate projects, and to support entrepreneurs in the creation, growth, and takeover of businesses.
During the program, students learn to be able to identify opportunities, develop solid business plans, and gather the resources needed to launch their projects. They will also be able to take over a business and develop it.
At Montpellier Management, we train several hundred students each year in entrepreneurship and SME management. Our Master’s programs in Entrepreneurship and SMEs are based on 45 years of research in this field, making Montpellier Management an internationally recognized institute in this specialty. The faculty members teaching in these areas of specialization are all published researchers affiliated with the MRM laboratory and were instrumental in the creation of LabEx Entreprendre, now known as PTL Entrepreneurship Innovation Sustainability / Lab Entreprendre.
Our programs cover a wide range of skills, from entrepreneurial support to project management, SME management, and international management. They offer students practical immersion in the regional and national entrepreneurial ecosystem, facilitating their professional integration.
Thanks to an active and professional approach, students acquire a solid academic foundation and learn to combine technical expertise with an understanding of business issues.
Students develop, depending on their background, practical skills such as starting or taking over a business, managing and developing an SME, drawing up a business plan, financing a project, supporting a company at national or international level, creating and promoting offers, managing digital projects, and leading multicultural teams. They also acquire essential qualities such as creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, rigor, adaptability, interpersonal skills, and international outlook.
During their training, they are involved in real-world events (such as the MOMA Start-up Event) and assignments directly related to the entrepreneurial ecosystem (Montpellier Innovation Booster, visits to incubators and on-site classes, challenges, etc.).
