If you wish to gain an additional or complementary qualification through continuing education, Montpellier Management offers a range of dedicated programs.
Who can apply? Anyone with at least one year of paid, self-employed, or volunteer experience—whether continuous or not—that is relevant to the targeted certification.
How to apply? Applications are reviewed based on a written application and a mandatory interview. Applicants may submit only one application per calendar year for a given diploma, and at a single establishment (maximum three applications per calendar year, for three different diplomas). In their application, applicants must describe all their activities, and link their experience to the knowledge and skills required for the diploma in question.
Funding options VAE can be paid for by the candidate; by the employer, who can include the cost of VAE for his/her employees in the training plan (OPCA de branche, FONGECIF, DIF, VAE leave, etc.); by France Travail; or by regional authorities.
Differences between VAE and VAPP? VAE involves obtaining professional certification (diploma, professional title or certificate of professional qualification), while VAPP aims to validate professional and personal experience in order to gain access to higher education and continue one’s studies.

Candidates who do not have a baccalaureate (or equivalent diploma) must be at least 20 years old on the date they intend to resume their studies, and have interrupted their initial studies for at least two years (except for top-level athletes). If a candidate fails a year of training, he or she may not apply for validation of that year for three years.
How to apply? Applications are examined on the basis of the candidate’s written application alone. Candidates may submit as many applications as they wish. Validation of professional and personal experience does not lead to automatic enrolment at the university. Candidates must also submit an application file and take part in the selection process in the same way as other candidates.
