Training programs and financing

If you wish to gain an additional or complementary qualification through continuing education, Montpellier Management offers a range of dedicated programs.

For whom? Anyone who can provide proof of at least one year of salaried, non-salaried, or volunteer work, whether continuous or not, related to the certification sought.

How to apply? Applications are reviewed based on the application form and a mandatory interview. A candidate may submit only one application per calendar year for a given degree, and at only one institution (maximum three applications per calendar year, for three different degrees). In their application, candidates must outline all of their activities and link their experiences to the knowledge and skills required for the degree they are seeking.

Funding? The VAE can be paid for by the candidate themselves; by their employer, who can include the cost of the VAE for their employees in their training plan (branch OPCA, FONGECIF, DIF, VAE leave, etc.); by France Travail; or even by the regions.

What is the difference between VAE and VAPP? VAE consists of obtaining professional certification (diploma, professional title, or professional qualification certificate), while VAPP aims to validate professional and personal achievements in order to gain access to higher education and continue one’s studies.

Who is it for? Anyone with professional and/or volunteer experience related to the certification sought.
If the candidate does not have a high school diploma (or equivalent), they must be at least 20 years old on the date scheduled for resuming their studies and have interrupted their initial studies for at least two years (except for high-level athletes). If a candidate fails a year of training, they cannot apply for validation of that year for three years.

How to apply? Applications will be reviewed based on the application materials only. Each candidate may submit as many applications as they wish. Validation of professional and personal experience does not automatically result in enrollment at the university. Candidates must also submit an application and attend an interview, just like other candidates in the selection process.

Funding? Fongécif and OPCAs do not finance VAPP. This does not require, in principle, any leave or support.

What is the difference between VAE and VAPP? VAE consists of obtaining professional certification (diploma, professional title, or professional qualification certificate), while VAPP aims to validate professional and personal achievements in order to gain access to higher education and continue one’s studies.

For whom? The CIF is aimed at employees, subject to acceptance of the application by the approved joint collecting body (OPCA) and by financial institutions such as FONGECIF or OPACIF.

How to apply? Before applying, employees must contact training organizations or the university’s continuing education department. The training project will then be reviewed and the funding application will be processed. Employees may then be granted funding and begin their training.

Funding? Depending on the rights associated with each individual’s situation, the CIF may finance training costs and part of the employee’s remuneration.
