The Student Social File (Dossier Social Étudiant – DSE) must be submitted in advance to the CROUS. It allows students to check their eligibility for a scholarship. A scholarship eligibility simulator is also available on the CROUS website. Students must then present the conditional scholarship notification (indicating the program, institution, and full name of the university) when registering with the academic office.
Scholarship Students with Conditional Notification at Registration
Students wishing to register at Montpellier Management must present a conditional CROUS scholarship notification, which clearly states the specific program and institution.
In this case, no tuition fees will be charged, as the CROUS will cover them through the allocated scholarship.
Tuition Fees for the Academic Year 2025/2026
For non-scholarship students (who do not present a conditional notification at registration), the tuition fees are as follows:
- Licence (Bachelor’s Degree): 178 € for the academic year 2025/2026 (this includes diploma fees, tuition, and university library access)
- Master’s Degree: 254€ for the academic year 2025/2026 (this includes diploma fees, tuition, and university library access)
All students must also pay the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC) to the CROUS. This step is mandatory, although certain students are exempt from payment.
Exemptions from CVEC payment include:
- Scholarship holders based on social criteria or beneficiaries of specific annual aid (from regions or the French government)
- Refugee students
- Students under subsidiary protection
- Asylum seekers who are legally allowed to remain in France
Non-EU Students
For the academic year 2025/2026, partial exemption from differentiated tuition fees will apply to non-EU students.
These students will pay the same fees as French and EU students listed above.
This exemption applies to:
- First-time students enrolling in a national diploma
- Students already enrolled at the University of Montpellier who are moving to a new academic cycle
Reimbursement
Scholarship students who initially paid tuition fees can request a refund by submitting the following to the registration office:
- The final CROUS scholarship notification for the current academic year (both pages)
- A bank account details (RIB) in the student’s name (if the refund must be made to a different account, a specific form is required—available at the registration office, Office D111 bis)
The reimbursement file is processed by the registration office and submitted for approval to Sylvie Sammut, Director of Montpellier Management.
It is then forwarded to the financial services for payment (processing time is approximately 3 to 4 months).
If the student also wishes to request a refund of the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC), the request must be made directly to the CROUS.
