The Bachelor’s Year 3 Business and sales in agri-food industries (CVA) is a track available in the third year of the Bachelor’s degree in Management and can be extended to a Master’s degree in Management and Strategy, with a focus on Agri-Food Sales and Management. The program was developed by Montpellier Management in partnership with IFRIA Occitanie. It provides a professional approach to the agri-food sector.

Application requirements

The Bachelor’s Year 3 Business and sales in agri-food industries (CVA) is one of the specialization tracks offered in the third year of the Bachelor’s degree Management.

Students may enter this program in the first, second, or third year.

  • The first year (L1) is open to students who have obtained their high school diploma.
  • The second year (L2) is open to students who have completed their first year of higher education in a compatible program, such as a Bachelor’s Degree 1 or a first year of a BUT or BTS related to the discipline.
  • The third year (L3 CVA) is open to students who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree 2 in Management and AES (Montpellier Management) and to students who have completed two years of higher education: Marketing and Sales option, in short courses such as BTS in International Trade, Operational Sales Management (MCO), Negotiation and Digitalization of Customer Relations (NDRC), Management Support (SAM), BUT GACO, technical training in the agri-food sector, professional bachelor’s degrees in commerce or distribution specializing in food product techniques.

Foreign students who are not members of the European Union and do not have a French degree must first submit an application to CAMPUS France.

Duration and rythm

The bachelor’s degree program lasts three years, from the first to the third year. Students can enter the program in the first, second, or third year.

Objectives

The Bachelor’s Year 3 Business and sales in agri-food industries (CVA) trains students for careers in sales and business in the agri-food sector.

Designed to meet the needs of the agri-food industry, it prepares students for sales roles and trains them in commercial relations with large retailers, the food service industry (restaurants, hotels, institutions), and specialized distribution channels.

Offered exclusively as a work-study program, it allows students to acquire skills in sales, merchandising, marketing, and category management.

The objectives of this work-study program are to combine theory and practice with 16 weeks of classes (2 weeks of training/3 weeks in a company) and 30 weeks in a company per year. Fifty percent of the teaching is provided by professionals, and a paid contract guarantees employee status with personalized support.

Tuition fees

For students who do not receive scholarships, the registration fees are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree: €178 for the 2025/2026 academic year (this fee includes diploma fees, tuition fees, and university library membership).

For students receiving scholarships who provide proof of conditional notification at the time of enrollment, no registration fees will be charged. The CROUS will pay the registration fees owed to the institution through the scholarships awarded to the student.

In addition, all students enrolled in initial training at a higher education institution must pay the Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC) before registering. This can be done online at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr.

Student assessment is based on a system of partials and continuous assessment, combining individual and group projects, thus guaranteeing the progressive acquisition of the skills necessary to obtain a state diploma.
