The Doctorate In Business Administration (DBA) is an off-site program offered in partnership by Montpellier Management and the École des Hautes Études Économiques, Commerciales et d’Ingénierie (HEEC) in Marrakech, Morocco.

The DBA program meets an international demand for research-based training in management. This degree is designed for individuals with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) who have a research project focused on a specific professional field. It is open to people from French-speaking countries in Africa.

To be eligible for the Doctorate In Business Administration (DBA), applicants must:
- hold at least a Master’s degree (or equivalent)
- submit a research proposal between 2 and 5 pages in length
Objectives
The DBA program focuses on applied research and is designed for professionals in management or academia who aim to make a meaningful contribution to advancing knowledge in their field of expertise.
Most courses are delivered in French, though working documents may be provided in English.
To earn the degree, candidates must defend a scientific thesis based on empirical research. The research paper must reference academic literature and apply recognized scientific methods and models.
Graduates of the DBA program are prepared to take on senior management roles in a wide range of organizations, including private companies, non-profits, and government agencies. They may also engage in teaching or guest lecturing. They are also capable of conducting and applying research to enhance the performance of their organizations and initiatives.
Delivered entirely online, the program is designed for participants located in various countries who seek direct access to a top-tier French higher education institution and a teaching team with extensive experience in doctoral-level management education.
Program
This is a three-year program spread over six semesters, combining training seminars and thesis writing workshops. Courses are delivered through monthly weekend seminars, each lasting 3 to 4 days.
Duration: 3 years
Format: 13 seminars, 3 thesis workshops, and the writing of a professional thesis to be defended before an academic jury.
Supervision: each participant is guided by a thesis advisor from Montpellier Management, with workshops co-supervised by Moroccan academics.
Seminars are held from Friday to Sunday.
