The Executive Doctorate In Business Administration (EDBA) is an off-site program offered in partnership by Montpellier Management and the École des Hautes Études Économiques, Commerciales et d’Ingénierie (HEEC) in Marrakech, Morocco.

Who is this for?

The EDBA at Montpellier Management is designed for individuals with senior-level professional experience or executive status who wish to enhance their expertise through research.
This research work must apply proven methodologies to real-world data drawn from their own professional experience, specifically within the field of management and business administration.

Is this program right for you?

To be eligible for the program, candidates must:

  • hold at least a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and have professional experience in accordance with Article L.613-3 of the French Education Code
  • meet one of the following minimum professional experience criteria: a Master’s degree (or MBA) in Management and at least 2 years of managerial experience; a Master’s degree in another field and at least 5 years of managerial experience; without a Master’s degree, at least 8 years of managerial experience
  • submit a 2 to 5-page research proposal based on their professional background

Objectives

The aim is to provide managers with the latest academic knowledge in the areas of strategy, marketing, reporting, finance, entrepreneurship, human resources and social responsibility.

The program leads to the defense of a professional doctoral thesis supervised by Montpellier Management academics professors.

The EDBA program is also open in Asia, in Shanghai and Beijing. 70% of the teaching team is made up of French academics from Montpellier Management, with a further 30% of academics qualified to supervise research in the program’s host country.

Delivered 100% online, the EDBA is open to people from French-speaking countries across the African continent.

 

Program

Duration: 3 years
Course format: 13 seminars, 3 thesis workshops, and the writing of a professional thesis to be defended before an academic jury.
Supervision: each participant is guided by a thesis advisor from Montpellier Management, with workshops co-supervised by Moroccan university teachers.

Seminars are held from Friday to Sunday.
