By tram, bus and bike

Montpellier is covered by a dense and high-performance public transportation network (TAM).

In addition to numerous bus lines, four tramway lines are currently in service in the greater Montpellier area.

If you are a resident of the greater Montpellier area, you can benefit from free public transportation upon presentation of your proof of residence and by submitting your demand online.

Your ticket will give you access to the TAM public network, to P+Tram parking lots and to bike-parks near tramway lines.

Cycling in the city means 160 km of cycle paths and, in time, a continuous cycle network. Whether it’s for everyday life, work, sport or leisure, it’s easy to get around Montpellier by bike, whatever your habits.

By train

Montpellier has 2 main train stations: the Gare Saint-Roch, located in the heart of the city, 200 meters away from the Place de la Comédie and the Gare Sud de France, a high-speed train station just outside the city.

Train fares and timetables are available on the SNCF website.
