WELCOME INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 

The SAIEC (Service d’Accueil International pour les Etudiants et Chercheurs) Languedoc Roussillon, partner of the University of Montpellier, welcomes international students upon their arrival. They guide them and inform them on administrative issues, housing internet access, information on life in Montpellier…

 

The Welcome desk (« Point Accueil ») for international students is held by multilingual students. It is currently closed because of the Covid-19, but they can be reached at saiec@univ-montp3.fr.

 

Thanks to an agreement with the Herault Prefecture, VISA demands for non-European citizens are centralised there.

INTERNATIONAL MENTORING PROGRAMME

 

Enrol on the International Mentoring Programme and make your integration easier !

 

A local student will answer your questions, welcome you at your arrival, guide you around the city and the campus, and help you with paperwork and everyday matters.

 

Enrol here from the 29th June to the 9th October and at least one month before your arrival to have a mentor upon your arrival.

UNIVERSITY CATERING (RESTAURANT UNIVERSITAIRE)

The CROUS is responsible for all university restaurants and cafeterias, offering meals for 3.30 euros, when you pay with your student card.

TRANSPORTS

The TAM  (Transports of the Agglomeration of Montpellier) is responsible for the tramway, bus and “vélomagg” (bicycles for rent) network.
