The Master 1 & 2 in International Management & SMEs (MIPME) will replace the Master 1 & 2 International SME Management starting with the 2027–2028 academic year.

The Master’s degree International Management & SMEs (MIPME) is a program that combines cross-disciplinary learning with specialization. It offers students a high level of specialization by developing their skills in international SME management. This professional training program draws on the expertise of numerous professionals and, on occasion, international figures. It is supervised by academic researchers who are members of the MRM laboratory.

Starting in the second year of the Master’s program, courses are taught in French and English, and specific English language reinforcement courses are also included.

The Master’s degree in International Management & SMEs (MIPME) can be completed on a work-study basis starting in the first year. Students in the initial training program and those in the work-study program are grouped together in the same class (approximately 20 people) and take courses together.

Who is this for?

The Master’s degree MIPME is ideal for people who want to specialize in international SME management, particularly in international project management, foreign market development and intercultural management.

This program provides students with essential skills in international project management, internationalization strategy, multicultural team management and foreign language development, enabling them to succeed in diverse & globalized environments.

Application requirements

The Master 1 & 2 International Management & SMEs (MIPME) is one of the master’s degrees in the field of Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Students can join this program in the first or second year.

The Master 1 is open to students who hold a bachelor’s degree, BUT or equivalent in management, economics, law, business, or AES validated by the completion of 180 ECTS credits. Selection is based on the application file.

The Master 2 is open to:

students who have completed the M1 International Management & SMEs (MIPME) at Montpellier Management (no application or interview required)
students who have completed a European bachelor’s degree or first year of a master’s degree in management, economics, law, business, or AES validated by obtaining 240 ECTS credits
to professionals with proven experience in the field (VAPP/VAE)

Foreign students who are not members of the European Union and do not have a French degree must first submit an application to CAMPUS France. Applications will only be reviewed once this formality has been completed.

Duration and rythm

The master’s program lasts two years, from M1 to M2. Students can enter the master’s program in the first or second year.
