The Master Business Development Management (MBD) trains students in business development, negotiation and customer relationship management. The program emphasizes international outreach, digital technology and social and environmental responsibility. The students are prepared to take on the strategic, marketing and sales challenges currently facing large corporations and SMEs, both in France and internationally.
The Master’s in Management and Business Development can be pursued as a work-study program starting in the first year of the master’s program. Full-time students and work-study students take classes together as part of the same cohort of approximately 20 students

Who is this for?
The Master MBD is designed for future professionals seeking to specialize in sales, business development and customer relationship management. It is particularly suited to those who aspire to lead high-impact projects, design sales strategies and manage teams in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will have mastered a set of key competencies, combining technical expertise (hard skills) with interpersonal skills (soft skills). They are prepared to drive business development, conduct complex negotiations, manage teams, oversee projects, integrate CSR considerations into corporate strategy, leverage digital tools, address HR challenges and build sustainable, value-creating customer relationships.
Application requirements
The Master 1 & 2 Business Development Management (MBD) is one of the master’s degrees in the field of Management and Strategy (mention Management). Students can join this program in the first or second year.
The Master 1 is open to students who hold a bachelor’s degree, a BUT or a three-year degree (BAC+3) recognized as equivalent upon completion of 180 ECTS credits. Pre-selection is based on the application materials. Final selection is made following an interview.
The Master 2 is open to:
- Directly to students holding the M1 Business Development Management (MBD) from Montpellier Management (without an application or interview)
- holders of a four-year degree in a equivalent field, validated by the completion of 240 ECTS credits.
Foreign students who are not members of the European Union and do not have a French degree must first submit an application to CAMPUS France.

Duration and rythm
The master’s program lasts two years, from M1 to M2. Students can enter the master’s program in the first or second year.
Objectives
The objectives of the Master Business Development Management (MBD) are to train experts in business development and customer relationship management who are capable of thriving in international and digital environments.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to design and implement development strategies that integrate ethical and corporate responsibility considerations, including environmental and social dimensions, as well as major digital transformations. This cross-functional approach will enable them to work in all sectors of activity, both in France and internationally.

Tuition fees
For students who do not receive scholarships, the registration fees are as follows:
- Master’s degree: €254 for the 2025/2026 academic year (this fee includes diploma fees, tuition fees, and university library membership).
For students receiving scholarships who provide proof of conditional notification at the time of registration, no registration fees will be charged. The CROUS will pay the registration fees owed to the institution through the scholarships allocated to the student.
In addition, all students enrolled in initial training at a higher education institution must pay the Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC) before registering. This can be done online at cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr
